I have been a practicing attorney since 2002. During this time, I have been both an effective negotiator and a fierce trial attorney. I have resolved many cases to my clients' satisfaction without resorting to lengthy and expensive trials; however, I am also not afraid to fight for my clients' cause in front of a panel of jurors or a trial judge. I have tried over 60 jury trials and successfully argued at countless court hearings and trials.

I was born in Hong Kong, received my elementary and junior high education in England, and immigrated to the United States in 1991 with my parents. I attended high school in Sacramento, California. I received my undergraduate education at the University of California at Berkeley, graduating with Honors in 1998 with a degree in English. I also gave the Valedictory Speech at my graduation in the Greek Theater in Berkeley, California. I attended law school at the University of California, Hastings College of Law, receiving my Juris Doctor in 2002.

I believe in personal service open communication with my clients, such as promptly returning their phone calls and/or emails, always ensuring they understand their options and the legal proceedings, and keeping them apprised of the latest developments in their cases. I understand that when a client seeks my help, whether it is because they are about to file for divorce; want more custody time with their children; been arrested for drunk driving or any other crimes, they are usually going through some of the most trying and emotional times of their lives. Thus, it is my goal as their attorney to competently guide them through the often confusing and complicated maze of legalities and find the best option for them. I also understand that my clients' time and money are very valuable to them. Thus, I give my clients my complete commitment to their legal goals: whether that is to quickly and efficiently resolve their case to their best advantage or aggressively litigate their cause.
